Two exciting trips are finally being prepared for me to travel...
Trip One: Traveling to Sedona with the Chairperson of our 45th Anniversary Reunion, Ron Gough
Trip Two: Attending to DSA Houston 2017 Conference and seeing you all 73ers during our Class of 1973 Gathering/Dinner planned by Brian Kilpatrick with Marilyn Nixon's help

Message from 45th Anniversary Reunion Chairperson
Hi, folks,
It is next two weeks
from today, Donna and I will be going to visit Sedona, which will be my first
time to explore that area. We
will look around for hotels, their rates, transportation, etc. If you have
visited Sedona before, please share
your inputs or comments with us.
About a date for our 73
reunion ... it will be on April or May 2018 during weekdays, not weekends
unless the rates make no
difference for any weekends.

Possible Date for our 45th Anniversary Reunion: March 19-23 2018
Hi,
73 ers
Just
wanted to inform that I have been working on planning our Class of 1973’s 45th
Reunion.
Please
check Sedona’s website: visitsedonna.com. That is where the reunion be
held..
I
am looking at the date for the reunion is March 19 to 23 which is weekday.
Usually, the rates for hotels
are
low on weekdays. Also the weather will be cool (temp 60 to 72). The rate
during weekdays would be
ranged
from $99 to $169 per night. All hotels/ inns reservation won’t be
available until July 2017. ’ll try to
find
a great discount for the hotels/inn rates, based on how many of us will attend.
Will keep you posted

So
let’s save the date.
Once
we make a hotel or Inn reservation, then I will check with various activities
such as Hot Air Balloon,
Off
Road Jeep Ride, Hiking, Dining, kayaking, and many mores.

Rest In Peace: Jim Inwood '68 1944-2016

James Howard Inwood, 71, of Milton,
WI passed away early on Monday, May 16, 2016 at his home. Jim was born on
May 25, 1944 in Evergreen Park, IL to the late Howard and Esther (Lusk) Inwood.
At the age of 8, Jim lost his hearing after suffering spinal meningitis.
He attended Grayslake High School in Grayslake, IL, graduating in
1962. Jim then attended Gallaudet University in Washington, DC,
graduating in 1968 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and a minor in Physical
Education. He would also meet Jeanine Ann Daniels while attending
Gallaudet and they would get married on August 6, 1971 in Brighton, WI.
Jim worked from 1968 to 1979 at Renwood Country Club in Round Lake, IL as a
Superintendent of Greens. It was then that Jim and Jeanie moved to
Wisconsin where Jim worked for the Caterpillar Plant in Edgerton until 1983,
then continued his education at Blackhawk Technical College and UW-Whitewater.
In 1986, he started working as a Letter Carrier for the Janesville Post
Office until his retirement in 2013, having all his fellow employees become his
extended family. Jim and Jeanie also worked as Sign Language Instructors
for 41 years at local Technical Colleges. Jim was a member of the
Southern Lakes Association of the Deaf and the Midwest Deaf Golf Association.
He loved watching all the Illinois sports teams: life long Bears fan,
Blackhawks, Bulls, Cubs, and even the Fighting Illini teams. He was an
avid golfer, model train collector, bird watcher and feeder, boater and
fisherman, and loved nothing more than sitting around a fire with his family.
Jim is survived by his loving wife,
Jeanine Inwood; 3 children: Jacqueline Inwood, Jeffrey Inwood, Jay (Ashley
Thompson) Inwood; 4 grandchildren: Madison, Rowan, and Ryker Inwood, Cooper
Inwood; 2 sisters: Mary Ann (Max) Cisne, Nancy (Jeremy) Street; and many
nieces, nephews, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his
parents.
Funeral services will be held at 7 PM
at the Albrecht Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Milton on Monday, May
23, 2016, with Fr. Christopher Klusman officiating and signing.
Visitation will be held on
Monday at the funeral home from 4 PM
until the start of the services. Interpreters and signers will be present
for the visitation and services.

We enjoyed being with the camp group for the first time. Besides
of that, we went to a few sites (city, ghost town and National
parks, etc.). Glad that the weather was cool and nice.

From Canada To the South of America!
Kathy joined her Canadian friend driving all the way down to the
South and visiting several people in Phoenix...met Donna for a day. Fun!
Then Kathy flew to Austin to spend time with Marilyn. Lucky she met several 73ers there!
She enjoyed the warm weather and was having a blast time!
She plans to come back again and join us for the Class of 1973
45th Celebration in 2018 in Sedona, Arizona!
